The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) supports approximately 4.3 million Australians who have a disability. VBreathe is proud to be a registered and approved NDIS Provider helping thousands of Australians claim the VBreathe Tasman Air Purifier under their NDIS plan to improve their indoor air quality.
NDIS participants are now able to purchase directly from VBreathe. We support NDIS participants who are self-managed, plan-managed or agency-managed.
Recently, the Minister for the NDIS, the Hon. Bill Shorten and the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) updated its COVID-19 measures to ensure participants and providers continue to be supported.
Updated temporary measures include the ability for eligible participants to use their NDIS plan funding to purchase a device such as a portable air purifier with the aim to help improve the air quality within key living areas of their home if required, to ensure continued receipt of disability-related support at home.
Minister Shorten said, “Ventilation and circulation of good quality air is also critical to lowering risk. People with better air quality enjoy better health and fare better.”
One of the COVID-19 updated measures include the inclusion of portable air purifiers as part of flexible low-cost Assistive Technology for eligible participants at particular risk from COVID-19.
